We understand military families because we're part of the family. Doc is a retired AF Colonel. Amanda is a Navy veteran and Sarah is married to an Airman. We are proud to serve Ft Carson soldiers under the Active Duty Dental Program for severe orthognathic surgery cases. Doc did a hospital residency at Offutt AFB and completed his orthodontic residency at Ohio State under AF sponsorship so he feels a great debt of gratitude for his AF career. His other assignments were to: RAF Bentwaters, UK; FE Warren AFB, WY; Altus AFB, OK; RAF Lakenheath, UK and the USAF Academy. He is also a veteran of 2 deployments, to Saudi Arabia as CENTAF Forward Dental Surgeon for Desert Storm and as Expeditionary Medical Group Commander, Al Udeid AB for Operation Enduring Freedom.
Providing orthodontic care for the military community requires special consideration and experience. For our active duty patients we understand how to work around deployments and your work schedule to provide the best care possible. For the family members who have experienced frequent moves we understand how important it is for you to find a place you trust where there is a special bond with the military community. Transfers from other orthodontic offices are a part of moves that we know how to manage well. We rarely need to remove the other office's braces in order to complete your treatment. A transfer requires special attention to keep you on track to a timely and excellent finish. Ideally, the start of orthodontic care is timed to be completed prior to your next anticipated PCS. The orthodontic evaluation is a good time to discuss the best time to fit orthodontic treatment into your busy military life.
